Anniversary Picnic June 2010

Every year the Golden Rods and Reels celebrates its anniversary with a Pot Luck Lunch, this year as usual the weather was beautiful and we had about 50 members in attendance

Tsawout Seafood Festival

An amazing event sponsored by the Tsawout Native Band in Saanich. This festival included information booths, Native music, seafood from Salmon to Sea Urchins and local shell fish. Many members of the Golden Rods and Reels attended plus members of the Howard English Hatchery, who indecently donated salmon fry to the children to release into the ocean.
